Broadband Services: ADSL and SDSL
ADSL
VBS Support recommend Demon Internet as a preferred Internet Service Provider (ISP). Our long standing partnership enables us to provide the best solutions at a competitive price.
Internet download speeds from 512Mb to 8000Mb (8Gb)are available with business contention ratios of 20:1 down to 1:1 (50:1 is the norm). This means not only high data transfer rates are available but high availability as low contention means users are not in competition (contention) for the use of the service.
All Demon business connections are provided with static IP addresses enabling us to provide our customers with our premium services such as Private Networking, On-Line Support and Overnight Data Backup.
(ADSL - Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line)
SDSL
For services that require high upload speed unavailable with ADSL, Demon offer a synchronised service (SDSL) providing the same upload speed as download. This is of particular benefit to remote "teleworking" (individuals or small groups working from home) and LAN to LAN remote offices where data is transferred in both directions. It must be noted however, that in general this service is limited to the major cities. This service also offers low contention ratios of 5:1 and 1:1.
